NOT to be confused with South American beast of burden the llama, British soul singer Lemar has a new album out next week.
But with his gift of a voice, Lemar sure knows how to carry a tune.
Proving the Tottenham singer to be a ballad specialist, his fourth album The Reason shows a singer at the top of his game on touching tracks such as lead single If She Knew.
Sadly overly-produced pedestrian production dominates, and with the addition of cringeworthy tracks like Little Miss Heartbreaker, it's not unreasonable to say that Lemar's The Reason doesn't do justice to his vocal talents.

This review could NOT be further from the truth.
ReplyDeleteI have heard The Reason from beginning to end. And having not been a Lemar fan in the beginning I must say, This album is the best album ive heard this year from ANYONE
Truly Amazing
The lyrical content on songs like Mayday, Black Tide, The Reason and Over You are at last NOT OBVIOUS and thats just to name a few of the songs.
Quality is maintained from beginning to end and fun and meaning go side by side to make sure that at no point does this album become pedantic.
Superb is all I have to say. SUPERB!
A must have for any music lover
And all delivered by undoubtanly THE best male vocal talent in the uk at present.
(Unfortunaly in THIS case the revew given is NOT 'Sound Advice')
Go and check out the album for yourself
Wow Wow Wow!
