I did a review of that earlier this year at http://echoisaacashe.blogspot.com/2008/06/catch-subways.html - the start of that album is absolutely blinding, and Always has got to be one of the best tracks of the year, but it loses its way a bit in the middle dontcha think?
Nice list, like that you chose albums not coveted by everyone else on the planet. I'd go for Portishead, their album was brilliant and they're local chaps. :)
Oh and I agree, The Subways' album was brilliant too, even better live.

I think by now you can tell Portishead are going to storm the vote - but it is a blinder.
