Empire Of The Sun shine

○○○○○

AUSTRALIAN electro pop duo Empire Of The Sun look like extras from a new romantic remake of Star Wars, and make a sound that is out of this world.
The super group, made up of Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau, play a sort of warm, subdued disco that sounds like the Scissor Sisters, but curled up asleep.
Their dreamy '80s influenced electro pop is filled with more hooks than a Peter Pan convention, which bodes well for a chart invasion over the coming months.
However there's nothing cheesy here - just an LP that's well worth a listen.
