BRISTOL-based band New Rhodes tread a path oft-travelled with their jangly indie rock.
I hate to be overly critical of what is overall a pretty decent outfit, but the group's debut album, Everybody Loves A Scene, fails to stick with you.
Admittedly there are some great singles here to help establish them - in particular the brilliant The Joys Of Finding And Losing That Girl - but over the course of the LP the hooks just aren't sharp enough to lodge themselves firmly in the listener.
I sincerely hope I'm proven wrong, because all the elements to a slick, sharp indie rock band are there, but I just have a niggling feeling that New Rhodes will be old news quite soon.
